Pause for Prayer

Once when Jesus was praying in solitude, and the disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”  Luke 9: 18 – 19

Is this not just a great invitation to a conversation! Tell me, what are they saying about me?

How might the conversation take place in your life?  What are the people around you saying about Jesus?  Who is Jesus in their lives now?  Where does He fit in the banking crisis, what might those involved in NAMA have to say about Jesus?  What about your friends who have no jobs – who do they say Jesus is?  Moreover, the key question, who do YOU say Jesus is.

At the end of June 2010 in Ireland a time of prayer might well look like the conversation outlined above. Why not try to listen to how Jesus responds to your experience of life right now.
