In recent years a number of Brothers have worked as School Chaplains.

Brother Ray Dwyer (left) was Chaplain at Coláiste Chríost Rí in Cork city until recently and Brother Barry Stanton was Chaplain at Presentation Brothers College, Cork before he joined the Provincial Leadership Team.

More Information on Chaplaincy is available from the School Chaplains' Association of Ireland.

The work of the Presentation Brothers as School Chaplains is based to some extent on Constitution 52 which reads:

"In the strength of our tradition we must strive:

  • to proclaim afresh the power of God's healing love;
  • to defend the values of family life;
  • to promote reconciliation and unity;
  • to respond to the needs of the poor;
  • to sanctify life, especially that of our youth."
